Rooster to Cook Up a Storm for GiveADinnerParty.com

Rooster to Cook Up a Storm for GiveADinnerParty.com
4 August 2016 James Brooke

New platform set to revolutionise the social eating space.

Rooster is delighted to announce its appointment by GiveADinnerParty.com, a new online platform that empowers people to connect with like-minded individuals from their local community to prepare meals, make friends and raise money for charity.

Launching in September this year, GiveADinnerParty.com (GADP) brings a new concept to the market, offering an innovative way for people to connect whilst helping those less fortunate, thereby bringing communities closer together. For the cost of buying a takeaway for one, GADP provides a solution for those that are looking to meet great people. Users can either host or attend all manner of gatherings in a variety of locations – be it breakfast, brunch, tea & cakes, dinners, picnics or barbecues. Currently working with 50 of the largest charities in the UK, a minimum of 50% of the cost of each event ticket sold goes to a charity.

The platform works on an innovative algorithm allowing users to meet people from similar backgrounds by selecting preferences such as age, interests and languages spoken. Continuing the personalised service, users can either sign up on an individual basis, or as a couple.

Co-Founders, Mark Viegas and Sze Lin Lim, who had a chance meeting in the warm waters off an island in Malaysia, and were inspired by the sense of community they encountered on their travels, have appointed Rooster PR to launch the platform in the UK.

Rooster’s brief from GADP is to deliver a strategic PR and social media campaign to build awareness and educate consumers and the media about the brand, with the ultimate goal of encouraging sign ups to the site and distinguishing it from others in the social eating space.

Mark Viegas, Founder of GiveADinnerParty.com said: “We’re thrilled to have Rooster on-board. Their broad consumer lifestyle experience and industry contacts will be invaluable in helping to get the word out about the site. The fundamental ethos behind Give A Dinner Party is about bringing people together by bridging the gap between the online and offline world. The creation of the site has been a labour of love and we’re very much looking forward to showcasing the finished product to the public and seeing the creation of many friendships as a result.”

James Brooke, Managing Director at Rooster PR, commented: “Working with innovative and visionary start-ups such as GiveADinnerParty.com is what brings us to work every day. We’re looking forward to implementing a creative strategy to raise awareness of the site and are confident it is set to be the next big thing.”
