Edge NYC, the highest indoor/outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, located at Hudson Yards, will debut a new permanent indoor immersive experience on 11 June 2026. The new experience will include New York City’s largest kaleidoscope, a dazzling two-storey tall display of 200 spinning, kinetic mirrors, and five more multi-sensory, all-weather installations that each playfully reimagine the lights, colours and sounds of New York City. Set against the city’s most dramatic skyline view, Edge’s redesigned indoor experience shows the city in a whole new light.
Known for its 1,131-foot-high outdoor observation deck and 360-degree skyline views, Edge NYC’s new indoor journey expands the experience beyond the view by adding environments that change by time of day, guest movement and light conditions.
Seven new installations will surround visitors in the magic of the city before they take a single step outside to the outdoor observation deck. These indoor environments include:
- Prism: Your experience begins here as you walk through the lens of an ever-changing prism, where shifting images of New York City are refracted into changing angles, colours and patterns.
- Pulse: More than 350 glowing, colour-changing globes surround you, acknowledging your movement with pulses of white light that create a unique visual experience for every guest.
- Skyrise: Feel the speed of the city as you enter a cinematic elevator experience with visuals and sound that simulate the wonder and energy of rising 100 floors above Manhattan in less than a minute.
- Reflections: Step into a forest of 200 spinning mirrored surfaces that dazzle with responsive light shows, each turning with guests as they explore the kinetic sculpture.
- Kaleidoscope: Journey through a series of giant kaleidoscope rooms – including NYC’s largest kaleidoscope – where light and colour shift and reflect all around you, set to original music. Nearby spaces feature changing patterns, photo spots and interactive elements that evolve throughout the day.
- Crystal Cave: Step beneath a 25-foot canopy of giant crystals that catch the light and cast rainbows on the floor as you move through the installation.
- Infinite City: Explore 18 large-scale, light-filled columns inspired by New York City skyscrapers, with mirrored and translucent surfaces that reflect the skyline and respond to guest movement through waves of colour and sound.
To pull off this massive creative feat, Hudson Yards Experiences, the team behind Edge NYC, collaborated with globally renowned experiential design and entertainment studios, including Moment Factory, Journey and SOFTlab.
Edge NYC’s indoor transformation also includes an all-new Skyline Bar & Café by Tao Group Hospitality. The menu, led by Tao Group Hospitality’s Chief Culinary Officer, Chef Ralph Scamardella, features an elevated assortment of breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks inspired by New York City’s most iconic dishes, including mini smoked bagel bites, babka pastry sticks, Wagyu hot dogs, mini cannolis and more.
The 6,000 square foot dining and events space above Edge has also been reinvented through a complete physical transformation inspired by Manhattan’s iconic Art Deco architecture. The new culinary and nightlife offerings from Tao Group Hospitality include a reimagined Peak with Priceless restaurant, all-new Avenue Sky Lounge and the seasonal return of Marquee Skydeck at Edge.
As the official partner of Hudson Yards, Mastercard cardholders can unlock exclusive Priceless Experiences at Edge NYC, including priority and early access to Edge. For more information, please visit https://www.edgenyc.com/things-to-do/priceless-experiences/.
