Affordable quality cruise line and the radio station for the Baby Boomer generation come together to help get a band or artist to where they should belong.
With new research finding that over three quarters (76%) of Brits have at least one lifelong aspiration they’ve not yet been able to fulfil*, Ambassador Cruise Line has teamed up with Boom Radio to launch ‘One More Dream’, an exciting new project offering performers who hoped for success generations ago a chance to claim their place in the limelight at last.
A flagship partnership for both Ambassador and Boom, ‘One More Dream’ brings together two brands that share a deep understanding of the Baby Boomer audience and will follow the search for a band, group or solo artist whose path to fame may have faltered the first-time round – as life got in the way – but whose talent and passion deserves to shine at last.
‘One More Dream’ was launched on Boom Radio by David Hamilton earlier this month, and the station’s website visitors and listeners have until Wednesday 4 February 2026 to put themselves and/or their bandmates forward for a well-deserved, belated stab at stardom. Entrants will be invited to share their stories as well as their music as part of the nationwide search for the band, duo or individual who believes they deserve that second chance.
Once the call for entries comes to an end on 4 February, and following a rigorous selection process, a shortlist of acts will be taken through to a judging session with an expert panel comprising Boom Radio presenters Graham Dene and Judi Spiers, along with some famous music artist names that will be revealed very soon…
The winning band will enjoy, at last, the experience they once dreamed of. Having been guided and mentored at a rehearsal session by well-known figures in music, they will then be brought to London’s legendary AIR Studios to lay down a professionally produced track with the world-renowned No.1 hit-making producer, Mike Batt.
With the recording set to take place on 26 March, Boom Radio listeners will be able to follow the band’s progress as ‘One More Dream’ builds towards its finale with the band’s journey set to be documented on air and online, supported by full-scale digital activity and social media content captured throughout the process.
The spotlight will then shine on the band for the crowning moment of their ascent, with a special headline performance aboard Ambassador’s first lady of the sea, Ambience, later this year. Guests sailing on the four-night One More Dream – Hamburg’s Festive Delights itinerary, departing London Tilbury on 6 December 2026, will see the band’s dreams reach fruition as they perform their winning song live, alongside a selection of additional tracks, in the Palladium, the ship’s main, multi-tiered theatre and entertainment venue
One lucky Boom Radio listener will also win a cruise for two on board December’s One More Dream – Hamburg’s Festive Delights sailing through a dedicated on-air competition that will run for two weeks from 13 April through to 26 April 2026.
Tina Finch, Marketing Director for Boom Radio said: “We know our listeners love music and many of them took to the stage early in life and dreamed of stardom – but a more sensible life got in the way. But – we’re always keen to stress it’s never too late – and this is a unique chance to enjoy One More Dream. Partnering with Ambassador Cruise Line allows us to take this project to another level – bringing the winners on board to perform and be part o life at sea will give listeners, viewers and the band themselves a unique chapter in this once-in-a-lifetime comeback story.”
Gordon Nardini, Chief Marketing Officer, Ambassador Cruise Line, added: “Boom Radio is a natural fit for Ambassador, as we both celebrate the 50-plus generation, champion their passions (past and present) and give them the opportunity to reconnect with what they love. Our audiences share the same values, the same sense of nostalgia and the same desire to celebrate the music and memories that mean so much. ‘One More Dream’ is a heartfelt, uplifting project that taps into the stories and passions of the Boomer generation and offers a wonderful platform for a talented band to take their music further. Supporting this comeback journey, both on land and ashore, gives us a unique opportunity to introduce our affordable quality no-fly cruises to an audience that we know will feel right at home with our famous warmest welcome at sea.”
Further details on the partnership will be announced in due course including timings for shortlisting, finalist selection, recording and release.

One More Dream – Additional Information:
The winning act’s preparation and performance will be brought to life through a wider content-led campaign, with Ambassador hosting the band, a Boom Radio video crew and station talent on board the four-night One More Dream – Hamburg’s Festive Delights itinerary, departing London Tilbury on 6 December 2026. Filming during the sailing will form a central part of the “One More Dream” campaign, culminating in wrap-up videos and social content charting the winners’ experience at sea.
The initiative will be supported by significant on-air activity on Boom Radio including presenter reads, promotional trails and weekly short-form promotions, alongside a competition page on the Boom Radio website. Facebook posts and newsletters will also be sent to the Boom Radio listener mailing list, ensuring the band’s comeback story is experienced across multiple touchpoints over the course of the project.
Alongside Boom Radio’s on-air and digital activity, Ambassador Cruise Line will support the campaign through its own marketing channels, extending the reach of ‘One More Dream’ across email, digital and social platforms and introducing the project to both cruise-curious listeners and loyal Ambassador guests.
