Leeds Boy Turned Entrepeneur Praises University Experience

Leeds Boy Turned Entrepeneur Praises University Experience
22 April 2016 admin_rooster

Former Leeds student Alex Ziff has praised the University of Leeds following the successful release and reception of his exciting new dating app Ciao Date.

Having released the app in February this year, art graduate Alex has credited the University for nourishing his creative side that has led to the innovative app that is set to change the face of dating in the modern world.

Alex believes being allowed to unleash his creativity with the encouragement and support from his tutors and peers has given him the confidence to take on the mammoth project of developing a dating app that he had faith in, in a highly competitive market.

“I’ve no doubt that my achievements since graduating are attributed to the University of Leeds,” said Alex. “My University experience was unparalleled, the three years I had in the city were incredibly formative and influential and I certainly owe the success of Ciao Date to it.”

Alex recognised that the most popular dating apps were good for facilitating quick hook-ups, but felt that there was an integrity and romance missing from the experience. He developed Ciao Date, an innovative dating app that allows users to match based on interests and preferred activity choice, along with budget and location. “The app encourages people to get on the date quickly, not spend weeks messaging each other in advance. As a nation we’re becoming more reliant on smartphones, and as a result becoming lonelier in the long term. Ciao Date harnesses the popularity of using apps on a daily basis, but brings people together in an old school romantic way. It has the potential to change the face of dating,” said Alex.

“As with any project like this, it’s been a journey of ups and downs, but the confidence and experience I developed at Leeds Uni has really kept me going. Now I’m in the position to get really excited about Ciao Date, and its potential to revolutionise dating in the twenty-first century,” he concluded.

About Ciao Date
Ciao Date is the most exciting new dating app on the market and has a number of key features differentiating it from other dating apps. These include the ability to decide who pays for a date up front; choose whether you want to host a date, be taken on a date, or share the costs. Either way, you’re able to get the awkward money conversation out of the way. Ciao Date also matches daters based on shared interests and desired activities, and the user can choose a specific location to date within.
Unlike other dating apps, Ciao Date does not use phone tracking technology, meaning the user’s location is protected unless they choose to share it with someone. Instead, the user can select the geographic areas they wish to date in without automatically disclosing their whereabouts.

Ciao Date aims to bring romance to modern technology by bringing people closer together through successful matches, dispelling the myth that dating apps are clinical or only useful for quick hook-ups. Regardless of gender or sexual preference, all users can enjoy the journey to finding a long-term partner with Ciao Date.

Ciao Date has been developed by Alexander Ziff, in London, and is now free to download from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
