Airzone Strengthens UK and EU Expansion with Dedicated New Markets Role

Global HVAC leader creates strategic role to accelerate UK and European growth while strengthening its response to evolving energy efficiency and decarbonisation regulations.
Airzone, a global leader in HVAC control solutions, has appointed Sophie Decorte as its New Markets UK & EU Business Development Coordinator, a newly created role designed to support the company’s continued growth and expansion across key European markets.
Decorte will lead Airzone’s response to regulatory, technical and industry developments, ensuring the company stays ahead of emerging EU energy efficiency and sustainability regulations. This includes actively tracking key directives and frameworks such EcoDesign, F-Gas regulations, Energy Performance of Buildings legislation, and Eurovent standards, as well as engaging with leading European industry associations.
In her new role, she will also work closely with energy companies, property stakeholders, and manufacturers to gather market insights, influence sector changes, and guide Airzone’s strategy across the UK and European markets.
As part of its next growth phase, Airzone will prioritise the UK and German market, building on its established presence in the likes of Spain and France. In the UK in particular, strong retrofit demand, a rapidly maturing heat pump market, and government initiatives such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and national insulation programmes are accelerating the transition to electrification and smart energy management. These developments closely align with Airzone’s integration and control solutions, further strengthening its position in the region.
Sophie Decorte, New Markets UK & EU Business Development Coordinator said: “Sustainability and energy efficiency targets, along with evolving regulatory requirements, are no longer secondary drivers, they are fundamentally reshaping HVAC demand across the UK and the wider European market. With HVAC accounting for up to 50% of a building’s total energy use, the sector represents a significant opportunity to reduce carbon emissions, improve efficiency, and meet increasingly stringent EU and UK energy regulations.”
Fernando de la Cruz Quintanilla, New Markets EMEA Director at Airzone, added: “Sophie’s role will bridge the gap between regulatory insight and commercial expansion, supporting our long-term focus on sustainable growth, technological leadership, and strengthening our market position across the UK and wider European markets.
“This expertise is particularly important in the UK, which is shifting from a heavily import-reliant market towards a more energy-efficient, low-carbon, and smart, IoT-enabled energy ecosystem.
While the UK has historically relied on traditional gas boilers, government-backed incentives for energy-efficient upgrades are accelerating the adoption of heat pumps across both residential and commercial sectors. As the energy and HVAC landscape evolves, companies in this space cannot afford to fall behind regulatory and incentive developments.”
