Atmosphere Core’s ELE|NA team launch hyper-personalised programme with DNA profiling.
Menopause continues to be a taboo subject for many women globally and yet its impacts can be profound. More than half of the women in the UK that have experienced menopause said that it negatively impacted their home life and 42% felt that the symptoms were worse or much worse than they had expected. To help women navigate this transformational time, Atmosphere Core’s spa experts at ELE|NA are introducing their first menopause retreat to the Maldives from 5-9 June 2025, offering a hyper-personalised and holistic approach for guests.
The retreat has been masterminded by Heidi Grimwood, Vice President of Atmosphere Wellness and ELE | NA, who – after recently having her own experience of menopause – decided to channel 25 years of industry knowledge along with personal insights into developing a programme to support other women going through this stage of life. Founded in 2015, ELE | NA, a subsidiary of Atmosphere Core, is a growing collection of award-winning, world-class luxury spa and wellness sanctuaries in leading hotels and resorts across India and the Maldives.
Heidi wants to bring her own experience into the brand by offering women a hyper-personalised and holistic approach to dealing with the physical, emotional and psychological shifts that come with menopause, in a retreat-style format. As such, Heidi has developed a brand-new retreat programme, based on the principles of ELE | NA’s ‘Wellness Your Way’ ethos, which will take place in the Maldives.
The intimate four-night retreat will take place in Heidi’s ELE | NA spa facility at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, a carefree, relaxed and free-spirited island that is just a 15-minute speedboat journey from Male International Airport, and is aimed at women going through peri or menopause, empowering them to take back control of their symptoms, bring back happiness into their lives and feel revived.
Ahead of the retreat, attendees will be invited to share a DNA saliva sample with UK based company, Muhdo Health, to ensure a hyper-personalised treatment plan, ranging from exercise to health treatments and nutrition. Heidi will be joined by Retreat Facilitator, Francesca Canzano-Franklin – Co-Founder of the Spa Duchesses and visionary behind the wellness brands Philosophia Botanica and Shen Mantra, Dr. Louise Oliver, GP and Therapeutic Practitioner and Suaad Ghadban, a movement expert with over two decades of experience in the fitness and wellness sector.
Once guests arrive at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, they will join an orientation to meet their facilitators and receive their personalised schedule, learning more about the physical and psychological impact of menopause during a scientific overview.
In the true spirit of ‘Wellness Your Way,’ guests can tailor the programme to their choosing, placing value on relaxation, exercise or simply enjoying a break to recharge and rediscover themselves. Itinerary highlights will include a customised exercise plan, masterclass in holistic healing, conscious nutrition and specialised face and body therapies, specifically designed for the challenges of menopause. Insightful discussion groups, neuro-linguistic programming and post-retreat monthly Zoom meetups are all included to instil a sense of kinship between the guests too.

The specialist menopause retreat starts from £2,000pp and includes speedboat transfers from Male International Airport, a four-night stay at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, all itinerary activities ahead of, during and following the stay, and inclusions as part of the all-inclusive FUSHI Plan.
