CamperDays Aims for Double-Digit Growth Rate

CamperDays, the booking.com of campervans, announces successful H1, with UK bookings growing 28% YoY.
Europe’s leading camper tour operator, CamperDays, announces its intention for a double-digit growth rate in the UK following a successful first half of the year, whereby bookings increased by 28% versus 2023.
The booking platform, known as the ‘booking.com of campervans’, has seen an increased interest in campervanning holidays among Brits in the first half of 2024, with Australia, New Zealand and domestic travel coming out top in H1. While destinations such as Sweden and Germany have seen a surge in bookings from UK customers, growing 233% and 122% respectively.
Max Schmidt, Head of CamperDays, says, “The success of our first half of 2024 here at CamperDays can be surmised by our continued expansion into new markets, including entry into Portugal and Poland.
“We pride ourselves on being able to offer extensive choice to our customers, and British travellers in particular have shown a keenness for adventure, with far-flung destinations leading the charge for campervan bookings from our UK customers.
“The UK is a key market for us with 10% of Brits aiming to go on camping and caravanning holidays in the UK in 2024*. As we look toward the second half of the year, we strive to increase our market share in the UK even further, supplying this burgeoning demand for camping holidays. This will help us on our journey to becoming the world’s leading camper tour operator and ensure that we’re able to offer customers more choice than ever before.”
