Traditional meets contemporary with this compact and charming new stove series.
Europe’s leading wood burning stove manufacturer, Contura, launches the new 210 freestanding stove and its cassette edition, the i2.
Contemporary versions of traditional cast iron insert-style log burners, the 210 and i2 are compact, sleek, robust, timeless, and offer optimum fire viewing for the cosiest of homes.
With energy prices soaring and the cost-of-living spiralling, a modern, Ecodesign wood burning stove can provide an efficient, cost effective and sustainable domestic heating solution. These two new Contura stoves boast efficient, clean and state of the art combustion technology that can significantly reduce heating costs whilst maximising heat output and minimising particulate emissions.
Both models can be fitted into an existing fireplace or chimney breast with ease, yet also provide a flexible solution for every type of interior setting. The freestanding 210 can be placed anywhere in a room, whilst the i2 fireplace cassette can be integrated into a purpose-built recess for the ultimate of custom-designed statement centerpieces.
The 210 and i2 are ideal for anyone looking to upgrade, restore or elevate the fireplace, breathing new life to your living space, whether that be the sitting, kitchen, dining, bedroom, or even the conservatory!
Both stoves are available with a glass door for a more contemporary feel that works to amplify the light from the flames, or a cast iron door for a more robust and traditional look.
And for an aesthetically pleasing feature, just like its 310 sister stove, the Contura 210 comes with the option of being mounted on top of an open log store compartment for easy access to your wood fuel. The log store can also be hidden by a soft-close door for those that enjoy the convenience of the built-in log box but prefer not to have their logs on display.
“Just like our early, more traditional cast-iron models, these two new stoves are compact enough to slot into smaller fireplaces or sit comfortably – but very stylishly – in tighter living spaces,” says Phil Wood, Contura Country Manager for the UK and Ireland. “With their versatility and elegant design, they suit so many different types of living spaces and we predict they’ll be a very popular choice for customers looking to upgrade existing fireplaces or switch to wood fuel to help save on energy costs.”

Stylish yet ever practical, Contura’s wood burning stoves range from contemporary freestanding and statement fireplaces, to more classically designed, traditional insert stoves – ideal for slotting into existing fireplaces.
95 percent of Contura stoves are Defra Clean Air Act exempt, which means they are approved for use in Smoke Control Areas, and all are Ecodesign models; reducing emissions by up to 90 percent compared to a traditional open fire.
All Contura stoves offer style combined with outstanding performance, maximum efficiency, practicality and ease of use. With 80% heating efficiency compared to only 20% of traditional fireplaces, and thanks to a 3-9kW heat output, Contura stoves can heat spaces of up to 150m².
