The City Zip Company can now confirm that Zip Now Cardiff, the biggest zip wire to run entirely over water in the world, will arrive in Cardiff on the 24th March 2020 and run through the entire summer before concluding in September 2020.

The first ever attraction of its kind in the Welsh Capital will operate seven days a week from March 2020 as riders launch themselves 45 metres up from the roof of the voco St. David’s Hotel and across Cardiff Bay, landing at a dedicated site near the Norwegian Church. With two zip wires in parallel, riders are able to fly in pairs; enjoying incredible views of the skyline, Cardiff Bay, the Barrage and across to the Bristol Channel.

Tickets for the 2020 event will go on sale in batches from this Saturday, 13th July 2019, with the cheapest being released first at cardiff.zip-now.co

Those who have already purchased pre-release vouchers will have access to an exclusive window to secure a slot of their choosing first. Customers that have shown an early commitment will also be rewarded for their support and treated to an exclusive Zip Now gift on arrival.

Barry Shaverin, founder and Chief Executive of the City Zip Company said “We are really pleased to be able to finally share an official launch date with the public. Having such a beautiful, tall building so close to a large expanse of water allows us to create the ultimate zip wire experience.”

“We had hoped to open this year but an essential diligence process with the Harbour Authority has taken longer than planned. We are still in the council’s planning process and will be bringing visitors, jobs and additional revenue to the city, while at the same time taking measures to ensure that noise pollution, lighting and other factors are low impact to neighbours and wildlife.”

The City Zip Company also operates Zip Now London, the world’s biggest and fastest city centre zip wire. The London attraction has returned for a third season after hosting 75,000 people in previous years and will remain open until 15th September 2019

Zip Now Cardiff will welcome all visitors, from individual riders to corporate groups, parties, charities, and fundraising events. Full details of who can ride can be found at cardiff.zip-now.co where people can also book their tickets.
