Flights starting from just £49 are available for the event running 3-6 September
For anyone thinking of strapping on their skates for Iceland’s four-day Bears on Ice party, WOW air, Iceland’s only low-cost airline, is offering fares from just £49 each way. The party holiday runs from 3 to 6 September with events in Reykjavik’s top LGBT nightspots as well as at various natural wonders in the Nordic nation. The itinerary includes the famous Golden Circle Tour, a visit to the relaxing, geothermal Blue Lagoon and parties each evening with a group brunch to round off the weekend.
Flights with WOW air for that week start from just £49 one way and depart from London Gatwick, reaching Keflavik International Airport near Reykjavik in less than three hours.
Launched by Frosti Jonsson in 2005, Bears on Ice was Iceland’s first such event and has consistently combined the best Icelandic and international LGBT performers. The not-for-profit event is organised by volunteers and is one of the three biggest LGBT events in Iceland. This year’s event will include Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based rapper Big Dipper bringing his eclectic music to Reykjavik.
