New Flights Make it Easier to Ski in Slovakia with Mountain Paradise

New Flights Make it Easier to Ski in Slovakia with Mountain Paradise
13 August 2014 James Brooke

New Wizz Air route to Poprad means skiing in the Tatras is more accessible than ever.

New flights between Luton and Poprad in Slovakia will make it even easier to enjoy Mountain Paradise’s range of ski and snow packages this winter.

The flights will operate three times a week from 28 October 2014 with Wizz Air and mean guests will have just a 15 minute transfer from the airport to the slopes of the Tatra Mountains.

Guests can enjoy several ski and snowboard packages from Mountain Paradise such as the Grand Hotel High Tatras trip that includes a stay at the historic mountain hotel, which has been providing luxurious accommodation and après ski for over 100 years.

Visitors will be able to test their skills on the Tatranska Lomnica and Strbske Pleso slopes, before returning to the hotel to make use of unlimited entry to the spa facilities provided by Mountain Paradise.

The seven-night half board package is available from £899 per person for first time skiers, beginners and intermediates, and includes flights.

Those looking for more rustic accommodation in the High Tatras could stay in the family-run Pension Paula from £795 per person for a seven-night half board trip. Located in the heart of the Tatra Mountains’ Tatranska Lomnica, the picturesque lodge serves local cuisine and also has its own wine cellar, sauna with Jacuzzi and billiard room.

Alternatively, adventurous skiers could visit the Low Tatras with a seven-night stay at the Hotel Ostredok from £925 per person. The Low Tatras are perfect for all skill-levels and also offer great opportunities for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Guests staying in the low Tatras will be able to easily navigate the 36 kilometres of pistes with chairlifts, T-bar lifts and the brand new bubble gondola.

All the packages include a six-day ski resort pass for the slopes, six day ski and snowboard equipment rental, flights from the UK and transfers where applicable.
