New From Contura: The Cubic Comfort 300 & i7 Series
28 April 2017 James Brooke

Flexible Heating Solutions for AW1718.

Swedish wood burning stove manufacturer, Contura, has launched seven new compact cube-shaped models for the AW1718 season, offering even more choice for customers looking to invest in a premium yet affordable stove.

Available from June 2017, the new Contura 300 and i7 models come with wide-screen window to display the fire in all its glory, log box options that can be placed either side of the fireplace, and a firebox that holds logs half a metre long. A multitude of accessories and finishing options mean these stoves can be adapted to suit individual heating needs and tastes and are ideal for those who like piecing things together.

The floor-level Contura 300 range – available in black, white, or with grey soapstone or natural artstone surrounds and with a panoramic cast iron or glass door – can be installed either freestanding or inside an existing chimney breast. An in-built wood storage compartment, typical of Swedish design, can hold logs of up to half a metre in length and customers can choose from single, twin or tall log box versions to suit all property types and available space.

Add-on accessories for this new range include a hotplate, drawer (below the firebox and inside the log box), air supply connection and black glass hearth plate, all of which can be customised to suit individual needs.

Available in black with a glass or cast-iron door, the new Contura i7 cassette is the insert model of the new range, offering homeowners a flexible installation solution. It can be fitted into an existing fireplace or placed inside a fireplace that has been custom designed and built.

Contura’s UK Country Manager, Phil Wood, says: “With a strong focus on design, performance and flexibility, the Contura 300 series has been developed to offer a stylish floor-level option, with the i7 serving those that require a neat wall-insert model.

“Whether looking to install a wood burner into a compact space, into an existing fireplace or to build a new chimney breast around the stove, each model can be adapted to suit requirements and the variety of colours and finishes means there is something for every type of property.”

A wood burning stove offers a more efficient and more sustainable alternative heating solution to a traditional fireplace or central heating, which in turn helps to cut energy bill costs.

Not only an efficient heating source, wood burners are also an elegant design feature that work well in both modern and period properties.

All Contura stoves offer outstanding performance, maximum efficiency, practicality and ease of use. With 80% heating efficiency compared to only 20% of traditional fireplaces, and thanks to a 7kW heat output, the compact 300 and i7 series can heat a room of up to 120m squared with ease. Further benefits include powerful convection and clean burning systems, ensuring less wood is used, whilst maintaining a high heat output to sufficiently warm even a large open space.

All Contura 300 and i7 stoves are Ecodesign Ready, DEFRA Clean Air Act exempt and can be used in Smoke Control Areas.
