Driving High-Value Media Coverage

Granada Village & Country is an independent estate agency, holiday rental management service and cultural holiday operator specialising in rural Andalucía. Founded by British expats, Ian and Andrew who appeared as local fixers on the BBC’s Amanda and Alan’s Spanish Job, the business played a key role in restoring the show’s focus property, Casa Alamanda in Moclín, managing planning, contractors and on-the-ground logistics.

In advance of Casa Alamanda’s launch to the holiday rental market in late 2025, Granada Village & Country appointed Rooster to lead a targeted PR programme. The brief was twofold: to secure impactful coverage announcing the property’s arrival to market, and to position the agency’s premium sales listings within influential, high-value media, all within a carefully managed budget.

While Casa Alamanda already benefited from its association with the widely viewed BBC series, Rooster’s contribution centred on shaping the narrative and ensuring the client’s role was clearly articulated. Media engagement highlighted the founders’ involvement in delivering the renovation project for television, while also providing a platform to discuss the broader socio-economic contribution of heritage restoration in rural Andalucía, something the founders feel very passionate about.

Subsequent activity focused on securing placements in titles aligned with the client’s commercial objectives, prioritising outlets with strong reach among high-net-worth audiences. Coverage was strategically targeted to support lead generation, with the client reporting a measurable uplift in website traffic during the campaign period.

Within six months, Rooster generated 37 pieces of coverage, exceeding KPIs by 164%. Highlights included feature property coverage in The Sunday Times and Mansion Global, alongside travel-focused pieces in The London Standard and The Guardian.

"Ian and Andrew were conscious that they wanted to show the utmost respect to Moclín, and bring its inhabitants along every step of the way."
