St Pete Clearwater Why November is the Month to Discover Creative St. Pete-Clearwater RoosterPR

With more art per square foot than you could possibly believe, the whole of St. Pete-Clearwater is turning into a gallery this November. For the first time, the destination is staging Art Everywhere, a month-long lineup of over 30 events running from 1 November to 6 December, popping up in museums, parks, theatres, on beaches and even in a few places you wouldn’t expect. With a much-anticipated exhibition at the Dalí Museum, a week-long tribute to the Beatles, a city covered in fresh murals, and a beach full of sand sculptures, November is one of the richest months in the area’s arts calendar.

Dalí meets the Old Masters

The Dalí Museum holds the largest collection of Salvador Dalí’s work outside Spain, and this November is a big month for it. Dalí: Disruption + Devotion opens on 7 November, running until 18 April 2027. Co-organised with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the exhibition hangs 67 works by Dalí alongside renowned works by El Greco, Orazio Gentileschi and Diego Velázquez. The exhibit honours Dalí as both an innovative artist and reverent student of art history.

The Beatles in St. Pete

British visitors may be surprised to find a very Liverpudlian corner of Florida in St. Pete. The Penny Lane Beatles Museum, the only dedicated Beatles museum in the United States, has just moved to a new home in the city. It marks the occasion this November with Here, There, and Everywhere, a week-long celebration with live music, a film series, a guest speaker and free admission on selected mornings.

A City that Paints Itself

St. Pete’s murals are one of the best reasons to walk its streets, and many of them come from the SHINE Mural Festival. Since 2015, the festival has added nearly 200 murals to the city’s walls. Returning 6-15 November, local and international artists will add new works to this outdoor gallery. Visitors can watch the walls come to life with unique creations and chat with the artists as they work.

Music Carved in Sand

Treasure Island calls itself the Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida, and every November it proves it. For the 17th annual Sanding Ovations Masters Cup, master sculptors will be working to the theme “Music is the Key”, with pieces celebrating the music that has shaped generations.

The main weekend runs from 19 to 22 November on the beach behind the Bilmar Beach Resort, with live music, an arts and crafts marketplace, kite festival, and fireworks display to light up the night sky. A second, encore weekend on 28 and 29 November gives visitors another chance to see the sculptures.

Kilts and Cowboys in Dunedin

A short drive north, Dunedin is a little piece of Scotland on the Gulf Coast. Scottish merchants named the town after the Gaelic word for Edinburgh, and the city has been twinned with Stirling since 1964, when its own pipe band was also established. On Saturday 21 November, the newly renamed Dunedin Celtic Festival mixes pipe bands and American country with its “Kilts and Cowboys” line-up.

Between the Art

Between the galleries and gigs, St. Pete-Clearwater’s award-winning beaches are never far. Visitors can take an afternoon off to lounge at Clearwater Beach – currently ranked #1 in Florida and #2 in the US in the 2026 TripAdvisor Traveller’s choice awards – whilst Caladesi Island State Park and Honeymoon Island State Park offer miles of pristine, untouched beaches and wildlands to explore.

Daily temperatures sustain 25 degrees Celsius along these white-sugar sands, where calm emerald Gulf waters provide the perfect conditions for pure relaxation under winter sun.
