We are Hiring: Senior Social Media Manager

Senior Social Media Manager, Full Time. Permanent.
This is a dynamic and busy Senior Social Media Manager position, heading up Rooster’s small but dedicated social team. The Senior Social Media Manager will be working on agency socials alongside social programmes for a portfolio of client accounts across the various agency divisions – consumer & lifestyle, travel & tourism, business & corporate and property & placemaking. The Senior Social Media Manager will play a vital role in the continued growth and success of our social media team and capabilities, providing oversight of and accountability for the agency’s social campaign successes and client satisfaction.
You Will:
- Plan, develop, implement and oversee social strategies, content, paid social campaigns and ecommerce programmes
- Lead on client liaison where social programmes are concerned, with the oversight/support of Account Director/Director
- Manage and be accountable for day-to-day client liaison on all things social, ensuring deadlines are met and client is informed of the status of ongoing projects
- Lead on social and digital matters in both client and agency meetings
- Input into meeting agendas and meeting notes
- Lead on and oversee social media analysis and reporting
- Manage, guide and mentor 1-2 juniors supporting you on the execution of social media programmes
- Plan and participate in client review meetings alongside wider account teams
- Provide a consulting/advisory capability with clients, always positioning Rooster as a strategic partner/consultant
- Seek and develop opportunities for the organic growth of existing client business
- Input into social media focused new business and/or existing client proposals and pitches with oversight from Account Director/Director
You Have:
- Extensive experience dedicated within social media
- Previous experience working in an agency role
- Previous experience leading a team/managing junior staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write persuasively, creatively and in varying tones of voice, delivering compelling public-facing content across social and digital channels
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to identify relevant, topical, industry-led or newsworthy content opportunities to incorporate into social programmes
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Extensive knowledge of all social media platforms and a willingness to familiarise quickly with new ones
- Experience identifying and navigating changing social and digital trends and applying these to client and agency work as appropriate
- Proven ability to forge, manage and maintain strong relationships with team members, clients, stakeholders, ambassadors, and third-party suppliers alike
- Creative and strategic approach to developing organic and paid social media campaigns and content
- Demonstrated experience of using social media design, scheduling, monitoring, reporting and workflow tools, including, but not limited to: Adobe
- Creative Cloud, Canva, Sprout Social, Facebook Business Manager, Pixlee, Trello, Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of the role of PR and how it complements social media and vice versa

You Are:

- Competent in devising and delivering tailored proposals and plans for a variety of client briefs
- Able to identify/compile meaningful and measurable deliverables for organic and paid campaigns
- Organised, able to prioritise, and skilled at managing workload: Able to effectively manage your own time and that of junior staff
- Passionate about social media and on top of trends and developments

The Package:
A competitive salary of up to £45,000 based on experience.
