Flight Centre UK Raises £200,000 for Mind
Flight Centre UK, one of the UK’s largest travel agencies, is delighted to announce that its two year partnership with the mental health charity, Mind, has raised a total of £200,000, as their charity partnership comes to a close.
Originally set for a year-long partnership in 2017, Flight Centre set out to raise £100,000. However, after extending the partnership, Flight Centre raised £200,000 for Mind, doubling its projected target.
Throughout the partnership, which commenced in February 2017, Flight Centre employees across the country have run marathons, climbed the world’s highest mountains, taken part in sky dives, organised dress-up and dress-down days, raffles, Easter Egg Hunts and even recorded a Christmas charity single.
Raising a huge £17,000 for Mind at the Summer Conference and Ball in 2018, this event was the largest charity fundraiser of the partnership. At the conference, a Mind speaker with lived experience of mental health problems told a truly humbling account of their story, which resonated with Flight Centre’s staff and spurred on employees to dig deep in their fundraising efforts.
