Global learning and travel provider, Impact Explorers, announces the launch of Med Trips, a specialist brand offering meaningful, flexible and affordable healthcare electives, medical internships, and pre-med shadowing placements abroad for medical and nursing students, and other healthcare trainees.

With nearly two decades of experience placing volunteers and coordinating internships worldwide for over 25,000 alumni through its founding brand, Volunteering Solutions, Impact Explorers’ newly launched sister-brand, Med Trips, builds on that foundation with a dedicated focus on medical electives and a transformative medical placement experience.
Med Trips allows participants to choose from a wide array of destinations and medical departments, providing the opportunity to gain global healthcare experience in a variety of hospital settings. Affordable programme fees, flexible durations – from one to 12 weeks – and year-round start dates mean students can easily choose a placement to suit their specialism, their academic schedule, and their budget.
Starting from £680 (based on a two-week placement in Nepal), Med Trips offers individual interns or those booking in groups, a comprehensive package, including accommodation, meals, transportation, orientation, medical insurance, scrubs, and around-the-clock in-destination support. Students also benefit from an assigned Med Trips coordinator and the guidance of an on-site medical supervisor who oversees all aspects of the clinical experience.
Beyond medical placements, Med Trips will also coordinate activities and excursions to allow students the opportunity to discover the destinations they are visiting and immerse themselves in the local culture, ensuring electives are not only professionally rewarding but also personally fulfilling.
