Launching in early November 2015, RentalsCombined.net is an industry-changing solution for travel agents looking to offer their leisure and business clients access to the global short-term rentals market.
The first-of-its-kind search engine and booking platform gives travel agents access to a current database of more than 600,000 short-term rental apartments and villas in 114 countries and 14,000 cities, ranging from budget stays to ultra-luxurious retreats. By the end of 2016, RentalsCombined.net anticipates increasing its property database to over two million rentable properties.
The site will give travel agents access to a real-time booking engine for the short-term rental of quality assured apartments and villas across the globe. RentalsCombined.net provides travel agents with real-time availability, property photos, and details of pre-selected, professionally managed and star-rated accommodations, all of which can be shared directly with their clients in person or remotely through an intuitive and easy-to-use screen sharing feature called ‘Show-Me’.
RentalsCombined.net is also being rolled out through the Sabre ‘global distribution system’ (GDS), which processes more than $120 billion in travel, granting access to more than 425,000 travel agencies. Travel agents are already able to use the RentalsCombined.net platform through the company’s innovative Sabre Red App, which won Travel Technology Exchange’s most coveted prize, ‘Best Online Travel App of 2015’.
Following the launch of the RentalsCombined.net Red App, travel agents who do not use Sabre will have full access to the property portfolio through the standalone website RentalsCombined.net, which has all the same functionality as the Sabre Red App.
“The short-term rental industry is seeing a surge in popularity, thanks in part to marketplaces like Airbnb, HomeAway and HolidayLettings. Frustrated with some of the many quirks and endless searching people had to face when arranging short-term apartments and villas for themselves, we wanted to create a product for the travel industry that simplified the process and made agents feel confident about the properties they were booking for travellers. RentalsCombined.net gives a new advantage to travel agents, who can now respond to the changing demands of their customers by arranging stays for them in short-term rentals in every corner of the world,” said Nico Nicholas, Chief Executive of RentalsCombined.net.
Each property in the database goes through an extensive quality-control inspection by established and approved property management companies. Once each property is evaluated according to a set of standard criteria, it is given a one-, two-, three-, four- or five-star rating.
Upon booking an apartment or villa with RentalsCombined.net, agents and their clients receive immediate confirmation, as well as 100 percent financial protection on all transactions via full TTA (Travel Trust Association) membership. The platform also gives agents the flexibility to set their own commission rate, enabling them to be more competitive or align their pricing with the services they bring to their customers.
