New Mini Packages to Capture Northern Lights

New Mini Packages to Capture Northern Lights

Don’t miss out on the Aurora with Tatra Photography’s mini escapes

Tatra Photography has released new mini and weekend packages for its unique Aurora photography tour so travellers with little time to getaway can enjoy the magic of the northern lights.

The new three night / four day dates will run in December, January and March with packages running from Monday to Thursday and Thursday to Sunday – making it a unique short escape for adventurous explorers.

Keen photographers will be travelling on board Tatra Photography’s Travelling Hotel, a ten-room hotel on wheels travels to locations inaccessible to other photography tours. The travelling accommodation will give photographers the opportunity to spend more time in Iceland’s epic landscapes without having to check in and out of hotels or drive long distances to capture the Aurora.

The hotel is a specially modified jeep capable of withstanding the Icelandic weather and terrain, so photographers can enjoy all the comfort of a quality hotel and the reassurance that they will get to the best locations at the right time.

As well as single and double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, the one-of-a-kind travelling hotel includes a fully-equipped dining room where guests are served a continental gourmet breakfast and two course evening meals surrounded by Iceland’s stunning scenery. The hotel even boasts wireless internet in all rooms, so you can upload pictures on the go.

“Our new mini packages are an incredible opportunity for photographers to capture one of the world’s most beautiful natural phenomena, the northern lights, and to receive professional tuition so they’re able to bring back truly spectacular memories,” said Matt Jevons, founder of Tatra Photography.

“The Travelling Hotel will allow guests to always be at the heart of the action – waking up next to the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, or looking out your window to the Vatnajokull glacier,” continues Jevon.

During Tatra Photography’s Northern Lights Weekend Special, guests will be joined by one of the UK’s leading landscape photographers, Mark Bauer.

Bauer will provide a masterclass in Aurora photography as well as dedicated tuition to help photographers capture the best possible shots of the Northern Lights and the stunning Icelandic landscape.

The three night / four day photography course with Mark Bauer is available from £1,395 per person, including return flights from London Luton and full-board accommodation in the Travelling Hotel:

  • Return flights from London Luton – Reykjavik
  • Return airport transfers
  • Three nights’ accommodation based on single / double rooms including full board
  • Four days photography course
  • All transport to photography locations
