Cruise Nation Reports Steady Growth in Greece Bookings RoosterPR

The latest data by Cruise Nation has reported a 17.7% booking increase since 2023 for trips to Greece, with the number of passengers also increasing at a similar rate of 16.5% during the same period.

The figures released by the cruise holiday specialist are even more outstanding compared to 2020, with bookings having increased by a whopping 275.4% and the number of passengers having grown by 291.5% – proving that the Mediterranean country has remained a firm favourite post-pandemic.

Cruise Nation offers a wide range of sailings to Greece, including a 2nts Athens & 7nts Greek Isles and Croatia exclusive Smart Package, which includes return flights from the UK, a 2-night pre-cruise stay in Athens, and ship port taxes and fees.

This spectacular voyage begins on the 31st of July 2026 in Athens, where travellers can explore the birthplace of Western civilisation, visiting iconic sites such as the Acropolis and the Old Olympic Stadium. Then on the 2nd August guests embark on a cruise heading to Santorini for its whitewashed buildings and unforgettable views. The next stop is Katakolon, a seaside town on the Greek coast which serves as the gateway to the Olympia archaeological site. After that, the sailing heads north for Corfu, an island with a long and colourful history where the medieval and the modern meet.

The adventure then continues onto Kotor in Montenegro, a town with a rich naval history renowned for its tavernas and cafes, and Split in Croatia, a premier destination since the days of the Roman empire thanks to its pine-clad hills, secluded coves and beaches. The last stop is Koper, the largest port in Slovenia, with a well-preserved medieval old town and easy access to the capital Ljubljana. Guests then disembark in Ravenna, an Italian city known for its history, stunning mosaics and cultural heritage.

Phil Evans, Founder and Managing Director at Cruise Nation, comments: “Greece always does well for us and there is no wondering why, thanks to its history and culture dating back centuries, stunning landscapes, turquoise seas and world-famous cuisine.

“Why carry a backpack around and spend too much money island hopping by ferry or plane when you can unpack once and enjoy the luxury of a cruise ship instead? This sailing is a smart, effortless way of discovering the Greek islands and the Adriatic coast from its most breathtaking angle, sailing straight into iconic destinations such as Santorini and its dramatic cliff tops.”
