Schmooze on a Cruise this Valentine’s Day with Ambassador Cruise Line

Schmooze on a Cruise this Valentine’s Day with Ambassador Cruise Line
9 February 2023 Samantha Anderson
  • Ambassador Cruise Line reveals Brits’ favourite romantic holiday activities

  • Guests can benefit from the fantastic Turn of Year offers on 2023/24 sailings, including up to 30% off selected sailings, complimentary onboard credit and 50% off the Explorer Drinks package

It’s no secret that travel has the ability to bring couples closer together – the dedicated time spent on holiday enjoying each other’s company is sure to increase intimacy and connection.

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Ambassador Cruise Line conducted a survey of 2,000 Brits to discover the most romantic activities that people enjoy whilst travelling. While the results varied across genders and age groups, the top voted activity across all demographics was watch the sunrise / sunset together (51%) – which is often best experienced in a coastal town or while sailing on the ocean.

The overall second favourite was holding hands (26%) while holidaying – whether it be while sightseeing in a new city or walking along the beach hand in hand.

In close third equal came flirting over dinner (24%) and kissing (24%). Additional popular romantic holiday activities included enjoying a hot tub together (17%) and having a picnic (15%).

Ambassador, the premium value no-fly cruise line offering the warmest welcome at sea, is encouraging Brits to ditch the roses and chocolate and instead give the gift of travel to their other half this Valentine’s Day – with guests able to benefit from the range of fantastic Turn of Year offers valid until the end of February.

Phil Gardner, spokesperson for Ambassador Cruise Line, says: “Holidays provide the perfect opportunity for couples to reconnect and reignite their passion for one another, while discovering new and exciting places.

“This Valentine’s Day, we want to encourage people to swap the typical gifts for a cruise holiday with their other half instead – we are confident that a sailing with Ambassador will provide ample opportunity to take part in romantic, meaningful couples activities.

“Gaze over the horizon at some of the most incredible sunrises and sunsets in the world, walk hand in hand while discovering new destinations and get your flirt on over dinner at one of our many on board restaurants serving outstanding international cuisine.”

Ambassador has extended its Turn of Year offers for sailings departing from 03/04/23 – 04/01/24 until the end of February, offering up to 30% off selected cruises including the Grand Round the World sailing.

Guests can also enjoy up to £20 per cabin per night Onboard Credit when booking any ocean view, balcony or suite cabin. This starts at outside cabins (category 6) from £10 per cabin per night and increases to £20 per cabin per night for all cabin grades from superior/premium outside (category 9) and above.

Ambassador’s extended Turn of Year promotion also features great offers on drinks packages, including 50% off the Explorer Package, which includes a selection of standard alcoholic drinks on board; upgrades to the Explorer Package (standard alcoholic drinks) for just £16.50pppn (normally £33pppn); and upgrades from the Saver Fare to an Ambassador Fare, which includes the Expedition Package (premium alcoholic drinks), for an additional £7.50pppn.

In addition, guests will be offered complimentary matchday tickets to Essex Cricket Club when booking any fare in the 2023/24 season, including multi-generational and themed cruises.
