Group and Trade function to be split with trade team set to double in size.
Following the arrival of Nicola Harper as Ambassador Cruise Line’s Head of Distribution last month, the premium value cruise line has today announced plans for growth in its Commercial team.
Ambassador will be separating-out the Groups and Trade department within Distribution into two distinct areas, with a view to ensuring that each has its own focus as the business continues to drive day-to-day trading and enhance third party relationships.
The business has announced that is doubling the head count in the trade team and is now advertising several new roles including: National Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Development Executive and Trade Support Assistant. To play to the strengths of the candidates Ambassador is looking to bring into the business, the exact structure of the team will be agreed once the recruitment process has been concluded.
“Ambassador is a business that has stepped out of start-up mode and firmly into a day-to-day operation with all the regular workings of a business built for success,” explains Phil Gardner, Chief Commercial Officer, Ambassador Cruise Line. “Following the arrival of Nicola Harper as our new Head of Distribution last month, I’m delighted to announce our exciting plans as we look to ensure that Ambassador has the right commercial structure in place for Distribution so that it serves our business in the most effective and productive way possible.”
Unfortunately, Moira Gregson has accepted a new role elsewhere and has decided to leave the business. Nicola will be working with Moira in the weeks to come on a handover ahead of her departure on 25th November.
Concluded Phil: “I would like to sincerely thank Moira for the great work she has done during her time with us and wish her well for the future.”
