Spoilt for choice between the Island of Love and the Family Island
Guests travelling to these new properties can choose between the Island of Love or the Family Island, depending on who they are travelling with.
Larger groups, families and younger travellers may find themselves more drawn to the 4-star OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, for the spectrum of amenities and excursions available. Newly opened in June 2022, Ailafushi is a new-concept resort that caters to families and larger groups through a fresh, experiential environment that encourages connection – defying what people typically think of when it comes to Maldives resorts.

Located on Ailafushi Island, La Promenade offers one of the only wine boutiques and patisseries in the Maldives, providing its guests a truly unique and memorable experience. Experience Diverse Culinary Journeys
At both Ailafushi and Lobigili, guests can enjoy unique food-truck dining experiences, where a variety of food trucks serve beachside dinners which can be enjoyed whilst taking in the breath-taking ocean views. One of the standouts is the Gaadiya 17 food truck at OBLU SELECT Lobigili, which serves a varied assortment of exotic, certified game meat grills including venison, wild boar, black chicken, duck, ostrich, rabbit, quail and partridge for guests to feast on. The Copper Pot food truck at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi further offers a variety of fresh seafood grills and special catches of the day, for guests to enjoy the tastiest local offerings that the island has to offer.
Perhaps the biggest standout of all is the ONLY BLU underwater restaurant. Connecting the two resorts and newly opened in June 2022, ONLY BLU invites guests to descend 6.8 metres below sea level to experience the largest underwater restaurant in the Maldives. ONLY BLU offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a unique, multi-sensory culinary journey, which features gourmet cuisine set against a colourful backdrop of marine life. The unique restaurant also features a live kitchen on the upper floor to further enhance the experience, providing a guaranteed treasured memory from your trip to the Maldives.
Experience vibrant, refreshingly different experiences and events
The new COLOURS OF OBLU properties offer a plethora of unique experiences for guests to enjoy, including The Dome, a futuristic 15-metre dome theatre and entertainment centre located at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, which hosts a number of exciting events such as movie screenings for guests wanting to share cosy evenings.
OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi is also home to one of the largest kids clubs in the Maldives, designed to keep little ones occupied for hours with a pool, top level for older children with Playstation, Xbox and a lower deck for younger children. The kids club also has a dedicated food corner, intended to keep energy levels topped up for all-day activity.
For the adults in the group, daily evening entertainment takes place at X 360 Bar on Ailafushi Island, a split-level bar and one of the largest in the Maldives. Within X 360 there can be found a spacious sports bar in the upper deck area, as well as a separate lounge area where guests can relax and mingle. On the lower deck, there’s a bustling and spacious dance area where guests can enjoy performances from DJ’s and live bands each evening.
