As the Nevis Tourism Authority expands its destination offering into health and wellbeing, the island is set to launch its new promotional video highlighting its wellness experiences, this March. The video will be available on Nevis’ website www.nevisisland.com as well as its social media channels.

This beautifully small but mighty island in the Caribbean boasts a relaxed lifestyle, a natural yet picturesque backdrop, and most importantly an above average life expectancy owing to a Nevisian way of life. To celebrate, the island is unveiling its unique wellness experiences through stunning visual representation and encourages travellers to re-connect their body and mind and share their experiences on social media using the #JustBeNevis hashtag.

#JustBeNevis aims to encourage visitors and viewers alike to immerse themselves into the Nevis way of life, whilst demonstrating the island’s wellness offering. Visitors to Nevis will experience an array of activities during a wellness stay, including a four-hour hike up and down Nevis Peak, the centerpiece of the island; a therapeutic soak absorbing the benefits of the thermal waters in the Nevis Hot Springs; the Bac 2 My Roots SpaTique, an eco-friendly Wholistic Spa and Juice Bar offering a range of traditional healing techniques drawn from Africa and India; and signature massage treatments at the Myra Jones-Edith Kirby Jones Wellness Center, allowing guests to ‘just be’.

Health, wellbeing and fitness specialists on the island have been called in to devise a range of unique specialist programmes, as part of the new wellness offering. This includes support from the island’s wide array of Yoga practitioners who hold specialist classes, from Ashtanga to Scuba Yoga (a fusion Scuba Diving and Yoga exercises), Chefs, who turn the island’s abundance of healthy foods into tasty meals, and exercise classes for all levels curated by the island’s Personal Trainers, and more.

Alongside health and fitness, guests will be encouraged to sample the flavours of the local delicacies – from just-caught fish, to the sweet flavours of its sun-kissed ripened fruits, as part of the meals curated by culinary specialists all across the island.

During their stay, guests will work closely with the island’s health, wellbeing and fitness experts to customize their wellness holiday and create the perfect relaxing escape.

Jadine Yarde, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority said: “Now is the time that travellers are seeking more than just a beach holiday and are prioritising their health and wellbeing, so we are leaning into that by introducing an integrated programme that makes the most of our natural resources to demonstrate Nevis’ superior health and wellbeing offering.. Wellness for many is no longer a trend but a necessity, as a fallout of the pandemic.”

“People’s minds have been focusing on many things over the past year and we want to encourage people from around the world to ‘Just Be’, just be at one with themselves with a focus on their wellness.”

To launch the first hashtag of its kind, Nevis is encouraging people from across the UK to share their self-care or wellness moments on social media; demonstrating what they do to ‘Just Be’, using #JustBeNevis for the chance to have their own unique moments included in the island’s brand new wellness package.

Located in the Leeward Islands, Nevis is one of the most pristine and relaxing islands in the Caribbean. Vividly green with blue skies and fresh air, Nevis has a pace of life that encourages you to stop and appreciate all the natural beauty around you.

The island’s tourism attractions include hiking the 3,232ft Nevis Peak, historical landmarks, thermal hot springs, craft houses, beach bars and miles of untouched white-sand beaches. The charming capital city of Charlestown is one of the best remaining examples of the traditional era in the Caribbean.
