Dynamify partnership with Klimato has achieved up to 16% carbon reduction for clients in just over 12 months.
Food tech start-up Dynamify has teamed up with sustainability software specialist Klimato to deliver a UK-first digital carbon labelling system, enabling the catering industry to dramatically reduce carbon emissions.
Working with some of the world’s largest financial institutions and pharmaceutical companies, the partnership has already helped catering clients to achieve up to 16% reduction in emissions in just over 12 months; well on track to achieve 30% carbon reduction by 2025.
The service enables Dynamify clients and customers – which includes contract catering giants such as Sodexo, Elior, Atalian, ISS, WSH, and CH&CO, as well as Fortune Global 500 companies and universities – to track, manage, and reduce their carbon footprint.
Dynamify provides a complete digital ordering platform, white-labelled by contract caterers who deploy the omnichannel technology into their off-the-high-street restaurants, kitchens, and F&B retail offering. By integrating Klimato’s carbon labelling tool, businesses can better manage their Scope 3 emissions, which covers factors such as agricultural production, transportation, cooking, delivery, and waste.
The carbon labelling service is rolled out across all ordering channels, helping companies easily detect carbon hotspots and where changes can be made, removing back-of-house inefficiencies, and taking informed, strategic decisions to move more quickly towards carbon mitigation.
The increased visibility will also generate more awareness to customers about their carbon consumption and help the public, in general, bring down their own footprint with educated choices.
To date, Stockholm, Sweden-based Klimato, founded in 2018, has helped more than 3,000 restaurants across the Nordics, the UK, Ireland, Germany, France and the Netherlands, achieve on average a 10.9 per cent reduction in their carbon footprint annually. This is above the official UN recommendation to reduce emissions by 7.6 per cent annually.
Erik Olsen, Head of Growth and UK Country Manager, Klimato, said: “Our rapid success across Sweden and Europe has helped thousands of restaurants achieve an annual carbon reduction level that is well above the official UN recommendation. There is very strong demand from the UK catering industry for these same results as people become increasingly environmentally aware of the impact of the food they consume. The UK’s food industry currently accounts for 35 per cent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, but we are confident that by this new partnership with Dynamify, we will be able to match the 10.9 per cent carbon annual footprint reduction that we’ve achieved elsewhere.”
Maxwell Harding, Founder, Dynamify, added: “In sites that Dynamify and Klimato are already operating within, we’ve seen a 23 per cent reduction in their carbon footprint in just 18 months. Therefore, we’re confident in our 30% carbon reduction forecast having combined the two services, thanks to rolling carbon labelling out to more ordering channels. The ongoing climate emergency, and events such as the record heat, has prompted more businesses to responsibly accelerate their march towards the UK’s net zero target by 2050. By introducing digital carbon labelling, we expect food service providers and retailers to change their product offering as consumer awareness grows and as demand for more sustainable products increases.”
Headquartered in the UK, Dynamify was launched in 2015 by Maxwell Harding. The platform serves over 3,000 ‘off-the-street’ restaurants within offices and manufacturing sites, schools and universities, venues and stadia, hospitals, and airport lounges.
Dynamify offers a back-office dashboard that collects invaluable data including customer behaviours and segments, which is used to help companies execute targeted marketing campaigns, forecast sales, manage inventory, and reduce food waste.

About Dynamify
Dynamify is a complete digital ordering platform, white-labelled by contract caterers who deploy the omnichannel technology into their ‘off-the-high-street’ restaurants. Quick and easy to use, the software enables customers to save time and skip the queue by pre-ordering their food or using self-checkout.
Founded in 2015 by Maxwell Harding, Dynamify is at the forefront of digitising the £220bn catering industry – where less than 1% of transactions currently occur online. The seamless, contactless ordering and payment platform is convenient, safe, and cost-efficient.
Through each clients’ own-brand app powered by Dynamify, customers are able to browse the menu, customise orders, earn loyalty points and redeem discounts, choose a convenient time and collection point, as well as specify allergies and food preferences.
Integratable with existing systems and built with a modular architecture, Dynamify’s platform is bespoke to each client, with all features under one roof, and easy to configure for their individual sites’ needs. The plug-and-play set up enables restaurants to digitise their operations within 24 hours and requires zero training.
Due to rapid demand in the industry, Dynamify is now servicing over 3,000 sites in over 10 countries around the world. Gross transaction value processed through the platform will surpass a £250m run rate within the next year.
Contract catering clients include Sodexo, Elior, ISS, WSH, Atalian, and CH&CO which have deployed Dynamify’s technology into offices and manufacturing sites, schools and universities, venues and stadia, hospitals, and airport lounges.

About Klimato
The food industry accounts for nearly one third of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, making it one of the single largest contributors to climate change. Klimato is on a mission to reduce the climate impact from food by helping food businesses calculate, communicate, and report the carbon footprint per dish they serve. Founded in 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden – it now serves customers all over Europe and their carbon labels can be seen on over 3000 locations. Contract catering clients include Sodexo, Levy, Aspens Services, Midshire Signature Services and Gate Group who have deployed Klimato’s technology into offices, schools and universities, venues and stadiums, hospitals, and airport lounges.
