The depth and breadth of collective experience across the team will take Mirus to new heights.
L-R: Marcus Williams, Adam Challenor, Lyndsay Whiteman
As Mirus Aircraft Seating diversifies and grows as a major player in the competitive aircraft seating market, the company has strengthened its Executive Leadership Team with three key appointments: Marcus Williams as Global Sales & Marketing Director, Adam Challenor as Technical Director, and Lyndsay Whiteman as Financial Director. The new members will support Mirus’ ambitious development plans as the aviation industry recovers following the pandemic.
CEO of Mirus Aircraft Seating, Ben McGuire, said: “This year is already proving to be transformative for Mirus, as we firmly establish ourselves as a serious player in the aircraft seating market. We have already unveiled the latest evolution of our popular Hawk seat and will deliver the first shipset to the launch customer later this month, we will launch our highly anticipated ultra-lightweight fixed back economy seat the Kestrel at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, and in Q4 we will officially open our on-site aircraft testing facility.
“To help navigate our success and further growth, we’re proud to have strengthened our Executive Leadership Team with a talented trio of accomplished industry experts.”
McGuire, Williams and Challenor will be attending AIX 2022 in Hamburg next week, announcing the latest airline to install its Hawk seat and officially unveiling its revolutionary Kestrel seat, which features unprecedented levels of passenger space. They are located at stand 1UB30.
Marcus Williams – Global Sales & Marketing Director
Taking up the newly created role of Global Sales & Marketing Director, Marcus will lead Mirus’ international sales, marketing and aftersales teams to cement the company as a major player in the international aircraft seating market. Marcus brings a wealth of experience in the interiors sector and has worked extensively with aircraft OEM’s and airlines on the ground in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Before joining Mirus, Marcus was Global Sales & Marketing Director at STG Aerospace, where he led their sales growth since 2013. Prior to this, Marcus held sales management positions with Crane Aerospace and GE Aviation.
Williams said: “Our objective is to dramatically grow the business over the next five years, expanding into new markets and broadening the range of products we offer. It’s also imperative to me that we take the entire Mirus family with us on this journey – what’s unique about Mirus is the passion and focus everyone has to drive the business forward. I’m honoured to be joining such an ambitious and entrepreneurial company that really does put the customer at the heart of everything they do.”
Adam Challenor – Technical Director
Having joined Mirus in late 2021, Adam is responsible for the design, engineering and delivery of aircraft seats at Mirus, bringing over 25 years of engineering experience across both the aerospace and automotive sectors to the role. Adam worked at Delphi for eight years, before joining Hendrickson, a global manufacturer of suspension systems and components to the commercial vehicle industry. Following this, Adam sought a new challenge and made the move into the aerospace industry as Head of Engineering at a subsidiary of Virgin Atlantic, after which he spent eight years at Acro as Technical Director.
Challenor said: “I was drawn to Mirus for its focus on innovation and supportive company culture. In my first few months, it’s already been made clear to me that Mirus is moving swiftly in the right direction, and I predict that the new aircraft testing facility will be a gamechanger for us later this year.”
Lyndsay Whiteman – Financial Director
Lyndsay joined Mirus in 2017 as the company’s Financial Controller, and earlier this year was promoted to Finance Director. Bringing more than ten years’ experience in practice and commercial accounting, Lyndsay leads the finance function and financial strategy for the Mirus Group.
Whiteman said: “I am thrilled to have been part of Mirus’ journey over the last five years, and I am excited to see what the next five years will bring as the business grows. The depth and breadth of collective experience across the expanded Executive Leadership Team will take Mirus to new heights.”
