Surge Launches Third London EMS Fitness Studio in Fleet Street

As of 26 July, Surge boasts three state-of-the-art studios across the Capital – Fleet Street, Bank & Hammersmith – and offers free personal trainer led EMS workouts until October.

Leading UK EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) fitness brand, Surge, will launch its third state-of-the-art studio in London’s Fleet Street on 26 July 2021.

The new studio expands the brand’s presence in the Capital, with existing studios in Bank (opened 2020) and Hammersmith (opened 2017).

Offering personal trainer led, 20-minute full body workouts, the Fleet Street studio provides a stylish and sleek training environment for time-poor Londoners in the heart of the City.

To celebrate the launch, Surge is offering free training up until October to new members signing up to the 12-month contract. Those opting for the 3-month membership will also benefit from free training until September.

The Surge experience is based on Electrical Muscle Stimulation technology, which delivers an effective 20-minute full body workout and is only needed once per week. Qualified personal trainer-led workouts allow clients of all ages, genders and levels of fitness to achieve muscle toning, muscle growth and weight loss.

Marlena Bueschl, CEO of Surge, said: “Already hugely popular in Europe, the London fitness community is becoming increasingly aware of the proven effects of EMS training, and to meet demand, we’re thrilled to be launching our third Surge studio, this time in London’s Fleet Street.

“Our expert trainers and boutique studios provide a stylish and welcoming environment to meet fitness goals – whether that be general fitness, weight loss, muscle building, or injury management. And all that’s required is a 20-minute weekly session – EMS workouts are that effective.”

Members do not need to bring anything to a session – from gym wear, to water bottles and towels, everything is provided. This means they can head to the studio straight from the office, after lunch, or following an important meeting without having to grab a thing.

To ensure safety in a post-Covid world, the EMS concept is Covid secure for both staff and members, who workout at a distance of two metres from one another and from their personal trainer, whilst the EMS suit that Surge provides for the workout is fully sanitised with a disinfectant alcohol solution between every client session.

With a free trial session available for all new members, including a full body composition consultation, Surge offers a simple subscription structure with options for 3- or 12-month memberships at its City locations. Prices start from £39 per personal training session.

Surge also offers a dedicated member app, which makes booking training sessions easy. This can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

About Surge:
Surge is a new boutique health concept and the UK’s leading EMS fitness brand. Using Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology to deliver an effective 20-minute full body workout, Surge training is unique.

Whilst relatively new in the UK, EMS has already seen huge success in Germany and Austria, with over 250,000 EMS sessions taking place every week in Germany. As many as 14 percent of all fitness studios in Germany are dedicated EMS gyms.

It is a well-researched and proven fitness method, with a number of studies (by the likes of the Institute of Sport Science and Sport Informatics – University of Cologne, and the Department of Exercise and Sports Science – University of Wisconsin) authenticating its success in improving muscle mass and function, reducing fat mass, easing lower back pain or enhancing performance capacities in professional athletes.

Personal trainer-led workouts allow clients of all ages, genders and levels of fitness to achieve muscle toning, muscle growth and weight loss. Surge trainers are fully qualified specialists in using EMS technology and will tailor sessions to fitness goals.

Surge currently has state-of-the-art studios in London’s Hammersmith, Bank and Fleet Street. Surge has a highly qualified board of directors from the finance, real estate and sports industry.
