BELFAST’S student accommodation properties have been ranked both first and second place by Student Roost as the top most-Instagrammed in the UK out of all their 50 properties around the UK.
Located just metres apart, in Belfast city centre, John Bell House and Swanston House have regularly been snapped on Instagram thanks to their eye-catching, period features.
John Bell House, in College Square East, was formerly home to Belfast Technical High School and Belfast Metropolitan College before being converted to student accommodation. Now owned and managed by Student Roost, John Bell House is home to over 400 students lucky to stay in the historic building with a grand hall, drawing room, study room, and an outdoor courtyard.
Built in the early 1900’s, it’s no wonder John Bell House has become a city landmark and one of Student Roost’s most-tagged student accommodation properties.

The factory was built in 1890, during which Belfast was one of the largest producers of linen in the world. The interior of the building was turned into student flats, retaining the original Victorian façade.
