UK independent specialist, Pure Fitout, completes exclusive fit out for The Devlin, from bespoke marble features to handmade carpets and bronze finishes.
This month Dublin’s The Devlin opens its doors as the coolest and newest community hub in Ranelagh.
More than a hotel, The Devlin is a place for eye popping art, gorgeous food, stimulating entertainment and mixologists creating dreamy drinks. With 40 modern and perfectly appointed bedrooms, a rooftop restaurant, terrace and cocktail bar and a 42-seater subterranean cinema, The Devlin is the place to see and stay in the city.
Pure Fitout, Northern Ireland’s fastest growing fit out company, are the craftsmen behind the installation and fit out of The Devlin. Bringing the hotel to life from scratch, Pure Fitout sourced and manufactured nearly every feature of hotel from the 40 ModPods, to the timber paneled rooftop restaurant and bar, art deco cinema, bronze-finished Americana Bar and Moroccan tiled bathrooms.
With spectacular views of Ranelagh, the Dublin Mountains and the sea, the 237 day project for Press Up Entertainment Group in collaboration with renowned designers, O’Donnell O’Neill Design Associates, and Lawrence & Long Architects, used innovative techniques and meticulous attention to detail to complete the first new build for the Group.
Where to get your foodie fix
Made from materials sourced all over the world, the hotel encompasses handmade fittings built in-house from Pure Fitout’s workshop. Exquisite Portuguese and Italian marble have been carved by the team to create the beautiful bars and table tops throughout Layla’s Rooftop Restaurant, Stella Theatre and the Americana Bar, while hand-picked Moroccan tiling has been used to construct the roof top pizza oven and line the bathrooms.
Five specialist timbers feature throughout the hotel, including the intricate Iroko panelling of the Americana Bar, pitch pine ceilings in Layla’s restaurant and walnut burl to the free standing case goods throughout to bring warmth and character to the hotel’s interior.

Made specially by Pure Fitout’s in-house metal fabricators, the team crafted bespoke bronze and brass finishes for one-of-a-kind features throughout each of the 40 bedrooms and a bronze illuminated back bar to compliment the detailed leather interior of the Americana Bar.
Down Low? Subterranean Entertainment
Down below, the 1970s-inspired Stella Theatre includes its own hand carved marble bar and classic mid-century furniture with lamps fitted beside each.
A mirrored ceiling along the bedroom corridors and a unique, client commissioned carpet completes the boutique hotel’s stunning interior.
