Givergy Announced as a Charity Times Awards Finalist
Shortlisted in the Fundraising Technology category.
Innovative charity fundraising platform Givergy.com has been shortlisted for the Fundraising Technology Award in this year’s prestigious Charity Times Awards.
Recognised for its contribution to the charity tech sector, the cutting-edge platform helps charities reach a wider audience, maximise global awareness and raise more for their fantastic causes. The award-winning technology company, which was founded in 2009, raised over £25 million for more than 1,200 incredible causes through an array of interactive fundraising products in 2015 alone.
Givergy users can take part in flexible auctions and prize draws or purchase ‘buy it now’ items – giving people the chance to get their hands on amazing money-can’t-buy items and experiences not available anywhere else. Listings vary from high-profile celebrity meet-and-greets and signed memorabilia, to concert tickets and sporting events. Recent lots include superstar Zayn Malik’s customised Marc Jacobs jacket, in aid of Mind, and a trip to New York to see Hamilton Musical, with a stay at luxurious Soho House, in aid of Good Chance Theatre.
Jon Douglas, Founder of Givergy said: “It’s an honour to have been shortlisted in such a competitive category alongside such forward-thinking companies and charities. From the get-go our aim has been to help charities raise more. We’re passionate about advancing the landscape of charitable fundraising and promoting tech for good in the digital age so it’s humbling to receive recognition for this. We wish all those shortlisted good luck and look forward to the final awards night!”
