Rooster Summer Social – Swinging In The Treetops!

On a balmy late summer’s evening the Rooster team ventured out of the office into the world of Go Ape. Swinging across the treetops of Cockfosters we conquered our fears and completed the course, then headed to Fire & Stone in the West End for some well-deserved piping hot pizzas following all the blood, sweat and tears!
For those scared of heights it was a tad worrying at first but by the end even those who were initially nervous felt at ease in the trees. Highlights included the Tarzan swing (launching from a 50ft high platform into a net!) that is still haunting me! But the feeling of achievement afterwards was well worth it! Zip-lining was the team’s favourite by far – zooming through the air at great speeds was surprisingly enjoyable and liberating. The separation of the course into two-levels – extreme and moderate – was much-appreciated by many of us who were not accustomed to essentially jumping off a tree at great heights! For the daredevils among us – the extreme level was a thrill albeit challenging at times.
After all our ‘hard’ work we dashed off to Covent Garden to enjoy hearty pizzas from all over the world. Some of our favourites included the Peking, Marrakesh and New York – interesting combinations that worked amazingly well. I think it’s safe to say we all slept well that night thanks to the great company, food and drink. Until the next social!
