Winterfest (February 22- March 18, 2018)
Entering its 11th year, Winterfest – Live on The Vine is a four-week, mid-winter music, wine and performing arts festival, that takes place throughout Long Island’s unique vineyard tasting rooms, legendary theatre’s, breweries, hotels and other historic venues on the East End.
Bethpage Air Show (May 26-27, 2018)
Soar into Memorial Day weekend with the official start to the LI season at Jones Beach State Park for the 15th anniversary Bethpage Air Show, complete with an appearance from The United States Navy Blue Angels who will perform a Precision Demonstration across the Atlantic Ocean.
Belmont Stakes Racing Festival (June 7-9, 2018)
Dubbed the ‘Run for the Carnations,’ the premiere horse-racing event of the season marks the 150th running of the Belmont Stakes. The final and longest leg of the Triple Crown will take place at Belmont Raceway this June.
Long Island Pride on the Beach (June 8-10, 2018)
Long Island Pride is headed back to Long Beach for its annual Pride on the Beach event. The three-day destination weekend will include numerous electrifying events, a pride market and fair, a concert on the beach and the 28th annual Long Island Pride Parade.
118th U.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club (June 11-17, 2018)
Long Island is set to host the 118th U.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, part of the island’s famed South Fork. Scheduled for June 11th-17th, this is the fifth U.S. Open Championship to be conducted on the storied course, the 10th U.S. Open staged on Long Island and the 19th hosted by New York State.
Jones Beach Fireworks (July 4, 2018)
Looking for the ultimate spot to view fireworks by land or sea this summer, then Long Island’s South Shore is the place to be. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser, The Jones Beach Fireworks always puts on a dazzling Independence Day celebration.
Alive After Five Events in Patchogue (July – August 2018)
Held on Patchogue’s Main Street, Alive After Five is Long Island’s premier summer street fair. Now in its 16th year, visitors can expect a variety of entertainment, from live music, entertainment, craft and retail vendors, food trucks, children’s activities and more.
Hamptons Classic Horse Show (August 26- September 2)
In to its third decade, The Hamptons Classic Horse show is one of the largest show jumping contests in the U.S. and one of the biggest social bashes in The Hamptons scene.
Greenport Maritime Festival (September 21-23, 2018)
Hosted by the East End Seaport & Marine Foundation in the village of Greenport, the annual Maritime Festival boasts displays of classic wooden boats, kayak races, demonstrations of high tech water sports, wood carving and model ship building in addition to its family-friendly activities, local food and live entertainment.
Hamptons International Film Festival (October 4-8, 2018)
Founded to celebrate independent film and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to our audiences, the Hamptons International Film Festival is committed to exhibiting films that express fresh voices and differing global perspectives, with the hope that these programs will enlighten audiences, provide invaluable exposure for filmmakers and present inspired entertainment for all.
Oyster Festival (October 13-14, 2018)
The East Coast’s largest waterfront festival returns this year for its 35th year. With more than 200,000 attendees expected, the Oyster Festival is certain to entertain the entire family. From the iconic oyster shucking and eating contest to pirate shows and live entertainment, visitors will enjoy a fun mixture of new activities and old favorites.
