We love ideas that are so simple that you kick yourself for not having thought of them yourself. Hotelgift is one of those ideas – prepaid gift cards that can be redeemed at hundreds of thousands of hotels so you can give the gift of travel without having to go to the length of choosing and booking a room for your loved one.
Our brief was to launch Hotelgift in the UK and promote it as the best new Christmas gifting option. The catch was that we only had six weeks from appointment to the big day!
As any consumer brand knows, the Christmas market is crowded and competition to get into coveted gift guide pages is fierce, especially when many began the race for recognition back in July.
But that was no reason not to deliver. With a combination of media and influencer relations and lots of old-school hustle, we introduced the Hotelgift concept to the UK travel and consumer media securing nine pieces of national coverage in the process.
Every new brand wants an impressive banner of media endorsements, and this is exactly what we gave Hotelgift, with coverage across Metro.co.uk, The Sun (print & online), Daily Express, The i, The Scottish Sun (print & online), Sunday People and Pommie Travels, with a combined reach of 5,222,266.
