Rooster to Launch World’s First Cross-Airline Flight Gift Card

Dutch travel gift company appoints Rooster to launch Flightgiftcard following successful Christmas campaign for sister brand, Hotelgift.

Dutch brand, Flightgiftcard, has appointed Rooster to launch the first-of-its-kind cross-airline gift card.

Rooster is the company’s first UK PR agency. Only six weeks ahead of Christmas, Rooster took on the challenge of securing Christmas coverage for sister brand, Hotelgift – a unique gift card providing access to 110,000 hotels in 170 countries worldwide – securing an impressive banner of media endorsements, including nine pieces of national coverage, with a total reach of 5,222,266 (print circulation and MUUs).

Loes Daniels, CEO and founder of Hotelgift and Flightgiftcard said “Rooster delivered impressive results, fast. The team’s expertise, network and ambition helped Hotelgift make waves in the UK media within a very short lead time and at a critical period for sales. We are confident they will deliver equally impressive results for our new brand, Flightgiftcard.”

Launching this February, Flightgiftcard is the world’s first cross-airline gift card brand for flights. It offers Brits the opportunity to give the gift of travel whilst giving giftees complete freedom to choose and book flights, via the Flightgiftcard website, with over 300 airlines, to any of 980 destinations in 70 countries worldwide. No catch. No limitations.

“Our business is all about offering flexibility and choice to travellers and ultimate gifting-cred to those doing the giving” says Loes. “Experiential gifting – helping friends and loved ones to create memories that will last forever – is an ever-popular trend in the UK and we anticipate continued rapid growth in this market.”

“We love ideas that are so simple you kick yourself for not having thought of them yourself,” says James Brooke, Rooster MD. “Both Hotelgift and Flightgiftcard fill gaping holes in the market and both have an impressive network of partners that will no doubt make them the go-to brands for anyone looking to give the gift of travel.”

Rooster’s brief for the Flightgiftcard launch takes in media relations, influencer relations, content generation, competition placement and corporate profiling. As well as consumer gifting, travel, lifestyle and wedding segments, outreach will include corporate audiences, positioning Flightgiftcard as an ideal solution for businesses running incentive programmes.
