Maunder XV, the new British brand reinventing outerwear has reached its Kickstarter fundraising goal of £14,000 for the creation of the Deepcover V and Deepcover C go-anywhere jackets.
Following its launch on 17 October, Maunder XV has reached its £14,000 Kickstarter target in just under half of the 60-day fundraising period. Bridging the gap between formal and performance outerwear, the Deepcover range combines cutting edge materials with classic lines to create a jacket suitable for all occasions.
Frustrated by the lack of affordable, stylish outwear that could be worn for work, adventure and socialising, British inventor and technology entrepreneur, Michael Utley, created the Deepcover range to fill the gap between top-end styling and technical performance.
Maunder XV Founder, Michael Utley said: “Hitting our target proves the appeal of the Deepcover range & the lack of a true go-anywhere jacket on the market. This is just the first step in making our vision become a reality we’d like to thank all our supporters & look forward to taking them with us on our journey.”
Utley continued: “We questioned what the market had to offer and have gone into great detail to create some truly versatile products – jackets where you won’t soak with perspiration if you’re hiking or cycling but will be happy to wear in town. We’ve received great feedback from everyone who’s seen the jackets and can’t wait to see the real thing on people’s backs early next year.”
The three-in-one unisex jackets are available in two versions, the Deepcover C and Deepcover V, both featuring a triple membrane, breathable waterproof shell with a detachable, DWR-coated thermal inner. They also feature a unique, magnetically detachable hood.
Pricing:
- Maunder XV Deepcover C is available for £249, with a limited number of early bird jackets available for £219.
- The Maunder XV Deepcover V will be available for £279, with a limited number of early bird jackets available for £239.
N.B. Estimated delivery date is February 2017. Christmas Gift cards are also available.
