Rooster will manage UK media relations for the innovative platform, set to create a generation of ‘discoverers’.

Rooster is delighted to announce its appointment by CityUnscripted, an authentic and personalised travel service offering immersive city experiences, as well as planning and booking tools to help travellers get to know a city through the eyes of a like-minded local.

CityUnscripted launched in London in April 2016 with a database of ready-made tours and an online TripPlanner service allowing visitors to create bespoke itineraries based on detailed recommendations of the best things to see and do in the city. The company is now expanding with a new ‘Book a Local’ option available in 13 new cities across Europe, America and Asia.

The site’s flagship product helps visitors get away from scripted excursions by exploring their chosen city with a Local who will plan a personalised outing based on their interests. CityUnscripted works with a network of 500+ Locals globally, who are collectively fluent in over 25 languages.

As CityUnscripted’s first PR agency, Rooster’s brief is to deliver a strategic public relations campaign focusing on the global expansion of the ‘Book a Local’ feature as well as raising media awareness of company news, announcements and new partnerships. Messaging will position CityUnscripted as a leader in providing high-quality, bespoke experiences that get away from scripted tours.

The Book a Local service allows visitors to explore a city with a like-minded Local who will plan a personalised outing based on their interests. Book a Local helps visitors get away from scripted tours; instead, their Local can guide or give advice like a friend would.

The quickly expanding Book a Local service is available in: London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Bologna, Amsterdam, Berlin, Edinburgh, Manchester, Tokyo, New York and San Francisco with more cities to follow in the coming months.
