Chance to Win VIP Hospitality at Manchester United

Chance to Win VIP Hospitality at Manchester United
13 April 2016 admin_rooster

Exclusive prize available on Givergy.com

This April, football fans have the opportunity to get their hands on an exclusive experience at Manchester United for just £10. The proceeds of the prize draw will be used to raise funds for wish-granting charity Purple Heart Wishes.

This ‘money-can’t-buy prize’ will be hosted on online auction site Givergy as part of its sponsorship of The Nicest Job in Britain, a not-for-profit initiative which helps charities across the UK do more good. Tickets for the prize draw can be bought online until Friday 29th April 2016.

By purchasing a £10 ticket, one lucky winner will have the opportunity to win hospitality for four people to watch a game from an exclusive hospitality suite at Old Trafford. The package includes pre-match dining and post-match drinks. Guests will be hosted in an invite-only suite reserved for VIPs of the club and celebrities.

The prize draw is being run by Givergy as part of its sponsorship of the Nicest Job in Britain. The scheme recently asked charities to apply to request a visit from the company’s National Philanthropy Manager. It was so inundated with applications – with over 100 charities putting their name forward in the first 72 hours – that sponsor Givergy offered this prize as a thank you for the phenomenal response.

Purple Heart Wishes was selected at random from hundreds of applicants to receive all proceeds from the prize draw, which will be hosted on online auction site Givergy.com.

Founded in 2009, award-winning technology company Givergy offers an effective online fundraising platform that allows users to take part in flexible auctions and prize draws or purchase ‘buy it now’ items. The site gives people the chance to win incredible money-can’t-buy items and experiences that aren’t available anywhere else. Listings vary from high-profile celebrity meet-and-greets and signed memorabilia, to concert tickets and sporting events.

Purple Heart Wishes fundraises to help adults over the age of 18 years with terminal illness, to experience a dream during the most vulnerable time of their life by granting wishes. The charity enables the individual and their families to build lasting memories that will always be remembered.

Sue Roughton at Purple Heart Wishes said: “We’re so grateful to have been chosen as recipients of the funds from this prize. We help seriously ill adults at the most difficult time of their lives and the money raised from the prize draw will make many future wishes a reality.”

Luke Cameron, last year’s winner and Managing Director of Nicest Job in Britain, said: “We’re so excited to have access to this incredible prize and would like to thank Givergy for providing the platform to auction this to the public. We hope it raises lots of vital funds for the lucky chosen charity, which will be announced next month.”

Givergy’s Global Director of Business Development, Jon Douglas said: “As part of our sponsorship of the Nicest Job in Britain 2016, we’re so pleased to provide the platform to host this prize and help one lucky charity raise more. This is an exclusive experience and we’re sure it will prove very popular with Manchester United fans across the country.”

About Purple Heart Wishes
Purple Heart Wishes was formed as a result of the loss of the founders’ youngest daughter to a Brain Tumour in 2014.  Initially the family and friends of Lyndsey raised money into the research of brain tumours from when she was diagnosed in 2009.

At the time the family were unaware how Lyndseys illness would define her future.  After 2 operations the future looked well, until Easter 2012 when the tumour returned and the consultants said there was nothing they could do.  At that point we still raised money into brain tumour research – but as a family we were determined that regardless of how much time Lyndsey had left we were going to fill it with as many experiences as possible.

We arranged premium football matches VIP, concerts, horse riding, a motor bike ride and her ultimate dream of a life time was to go to Thailand, by the time Lyndsey left for her journey doctors said she would not come back – she did stronger that she was before she left.  She survived almost 18 months after we were told she was not going to come back.  This trip was possible because of the commitment of family, friends and a mystery benefactor who gave enough for Lyndsey to travel for 3 weeks in style and experience some thing without them she would never have been able to do.

After Lyndseys death, we decided that we wanted people to have the same chance that she herself had: by granting a wish to share with family and friends and give them something beautiful to remember.

The chance to help people is a privilege when they are most vulnerable.
